Being of Cantonese speaking background (however I am not descended from Hong Kong) I have grown up listening to the Cantopop that my parents listened to and I guess you could say that was and still is the best era of Cantonese pop music. Music from the 80s and 90s really were the Golden Ages, creating and producing singers who are now considered ‘legends’ and soaring Cantopop to new heights.
Hot to our screens is new Korean drama Goblin but the official English title is Guardian: The Lonely and Great God 쓸쓸하고 찬란하神-도깨비. Why the long title? can’t answer that I’m afraid as I have no idea either, but international viewers will know it as Goblin.
In fourth century China, there was war between feudal Northern Wei and Southern Liang dynasties. The Liang commander general, Lin Xie, his 19-year-old son, Lin Shu, and the Chiyan Army defeated hostile Wei forces. However, when the Chiyan were weakened from the battle, they were massacred under the Emperor’s orders. Unknown to the king, the Chiyan were framed by political rivals, who claimed that they were conspiring a rebellion with the then-crown prince, Prince Qi. As a result, Prince Qi and members of the Lin manor were also unjustly executed, with Qi’s mother, Consort Chen, and Lin Shu’s mother, committing suicide. ~ Credit: Wikipedia
In the last five years or so lip tints have become a staple in any cosmetic brand’s collection. Gone are the days where you would have to dap your lipstick just for a flush of colour as a coloured lip balm usually just did nothing but moisturise your lips.
Anyone into Asian makeup trends will know that lip tints are usually the key to the gradient lip look. This hit trend started off in South Korea and has now become a iconic look for Asian females. Why? Because it just looks so pretty and effortless. Sometimes we just don’t want to wear a full lip of colour.
The story is about a student named Nagai Kei, who discovers he is an immortal “Ajin” when he is hit by a truck. He becomes a wanted person because the Ajins are considered criminals and the only person who is there to support him is his best friend, Kaito. ~ Credit: Wikipedia.com
